To create this I put the image of Frances, Jon and Peter into Picnik, and tried different editing techniques with them, until I was happy with the result. I then chose a suitable text for the magazine name, and enlarged it so that it followed the conventions of other film magazines. Next I chose the font for the elements which would be featured within the magazine, and white was the best coulour for all of these as it could be seen clearly. I then created a box for the bottom of the cover, and imported an image of Sarah which I edited so that you could not longer see the background, and so that it looks as though she is leaning forward and has something of interest to share with the reader. The font for the "films that you can't miss" links well with the magazine title, as it is of a similar style. I chose black writing for the box at the bottom, so that it was also clear. I chose to do a film strip taking inspiration from an Empire magazine cover with Harry Potter on the front, as that used a black and yellow line, so I developed this and did a filmstrip instead. I then placed the images of the three females inside the filmstrip (as each of them is an actress from the films listed at the bottom of the page), and used the smudge tool so that the magazine linked with my trailer and poster, giving connotations of fire.
